Halloween
Better late than never, right? A big THANK YOU to Grandma who made the boys' costumes. K was obviously Buzz Lightyear while Colt was one of the squeaky aliens from Toy Story (NOT A TELETUBBY). The cul-de-sac agreed that if there was a costume contest amongst us, Colton would have won! He left his head-piece on all night. Everyone was impressed.

Children's Museum
Once a year, Texas Women's Hospital hosts a "NICU Reunion" at the Children's Museum. Sadly, this is the only time we ever go there...hey, it's free (AND you get a present AND dinner). This year was the first time that both boys were big enough to really enjoy themselves and walk around the whole time (ie: we didn't even bring a stroller!!!). They had a blast, and slept soundly that night. That's really all I can ask for! :)
P.S. Yes, they got haircuts.

Swimming Lessons
Modeling his super cool swim diaper. The wife-beater makes it look even cooler.
Kaleb started swimming lessons about a month ago, and by the third class could already float on his back on his own! He went through a 2 week introductory course (it's 30 minutes every day) and passed with flying colors. So now he's on to the next level (and I was told that he's already mastered all of the skills in that level before he even started it so hopefully he'll move up again soon).
Colton thought I was torturing him during that those 2 weeks because all he wanted to do was get in the pool with K! So we signed him up too. He is doing a "mommy and me" class with me once a week and so far loves it.
I apologize for the pictures. They were taken with my cell phone through the window which is coated in salt water on the inside. lol

Kaleb's First Sleepover
The Weidigs stayed the night at our house after Kaleb's birthday party so rather than move kids around to make room for everyone, we just put John John in K's room on an air mattress (which Kaleb also wanted to sleep on). Brooke and I (and possibly our loving husbands) thought we were idiots for thinking this would work...but the boys surprised us! They slept there all night. :) Success!
K's Birthday Party
Thanks, Aunt Channing, for helping with the "Speed Cake"!
Finally! A picture of Aunt Cali and Kaleb!
Kaleb had a small-ish birthday party. We decided to only invite family (and the Weidigs, of course, who are part of our California family), and it was a great decision! While we did miss all of our friends, it was nice to just be with the grandparents and aunts. :) K wanted a Cars themed party...and a Cars themed party is what he got!
Kaleb Is 3!
Kaleb woke up on his birthday, looked me in the eyes, and said "Momma, I'm three! I'm not two anymore!!" He seemed to be reassuring me that he was done being a two-year-old, if you know what I mean. So funny! He had a pretty low-key birthday...presents and cake at home with momma, daddy, and Colton. He got the Mack truck he's been wanting and that was all he really needed! :)

Moody Gardens
A couple weeks ago, Josh decided to take a random Friday off so we packed up the boys and drove down to Galveston's Moody Gardens. There are so many things to do there, and since one can never quite figure out what our boys will both enjoy, we bought the all inclusive pass....AND DID EVERYTHING. (Well, almost: we opted out of a movie for the sake of the rest of the audience. Plus, then we wouldn't have gotten to see the 4D Dora and Diego Movie. Wouldn't want to miss that!)
Anyway, we got there nice and early and set up camp in a cabana by the lazy river. We played in the water for a few hours, then had lunch, and then managed to explore all three pyramids. The aquarium was Kaleb's favorite for sure. He proudly proclaims "The shark didn't eat me" because he somehow managed to safely view a shark through a 6 inch think aquarium wall...just like the rest of us. ;) The rainforest pyramid is a MUCH better exhibit than it used to be, and the third pyramid, whatever it is, is still quite boring. :P
So in conclusion, we had a great day! It was almost like a little vacation except we didn't have to board the beagles and got to sleep in our own beds when it was over. And speaking of sleep, the littlest Davis boy was OUT before we even pulled out of the parking lot!
