Santa's Lap

Kaleb was NOT pleased that we placed him on the lap of a large man with a white beard and a red suit. BUT, what he doesn't know is that last year Santa was smelly, old, and border-line creepy (completely with yellow teeth). So this year was quite the improvement! He started crying immediately--thus, the blankie is in the picture. When that didn't help, I stepped in next to him. He was still throwing a fit when the camera girl said "say cheese" but somehow he looks happy in this photo. (It is a lie!!!) Merry Christmas Eve!!!

Kaleb's Best Friend

John John is Kaleb's best friend (we decided this for them before either was born). They are finally starting to enjoy each other's company (not that they didn't enjoy each other previously...they just didn't know what to do with the other one). This is just an ADORABLE picture of them playing with a chair. They were carrying on some kind of conversation involving baby talk and pounding.

SNOW day!

Kaleb's first time touching snow! (About 30 seconds into it, he realized his gloves aren't waterproof....)

Snow Kowboy!

Yes, it snowed in Pearland for the second year in a row! Josh came home early from work, and we bundled the little guy up (he doesn't own a winter coat) and picked out our Christmas tree. It was snowing last year while we picked it out, as well, so we have ourselves a nice little family tradition! Here's to hoping we (and the weather) can keep it up!

Thanksgiving

Thanks for the cute clothes, Court!

Getting a big kiss from a big puppy...

Too cool to look AT mom.

Playing "fetch".

Yes, I know...Thanksgiving was 2 weeks ago. Oops! We spent the day at Josh's parents' house, as mine we out of town. Kaleb got to spend the day with 2 of his grandparents and 4 of his great-grandparents (plus 2 of his aunts and 3 giant puppies). He had a great day!

More walking (and cinnamon rolls)

Kaleb's starting to get a lot more stable walking (but we still aren't sure what language he's speaking):

Walking and Talking

We're not sure what language this is exactly....possibly German? An African dialect? Your guess is as good as ours.

More Halloween

Kaleb enjoys playing with Shiner....because our dogs don't play (at least with him.)

Trouble-makers.
John John and Kaleb are finally starting to play together. It's so cute!

John John and his mommy stayed the night on Halloween. In the morning, Josh was gone on a bike ride, so it was just our girls and our little boys. We had quite a good time watching them interact.

Finally - Halloween Pictures!

Kowboy Kaleb!!

Thanks to Grandma for the costume and Daddy for the covered wagon!

(Oh, and to Mommy for buying the stuffed horses....)

Somebody is getting sleepy...

I think this is when Kaleb realized that all of the other kiddos were eating tons of candy and he had NONE.

Playing with Cousins

Playing with Cormac.

Kerry, Cormac, Karen, Brad, Arden, and Doug Thompson.

Playing with Arden.

2 Cousins, their spouses, and their kids.

My Uncle Brad, Aunt Karen, cousin Doug, his wife Kerry, and their twin boys Cormac and Arden were in town for the weekend so we all got together at my parents' house for lunch. The last time we saw the twins was in late April; Kaleb wasn't really even moving then, so it was fun to see them play together this time. It was also nice to see Brad and Karen, who live in Africa so we don't get to see them too often!

A Boy and His Pumpkin

In my last post, I forgot to include the picture of Kaleb on the way home from Dewberry Farm. He was absolutely exhausted! He (or more like Josh) picked out a HUGE pumpkin. It weighs almost 5 pounds more than Kaleb. :)

Dewberry Farm!

On Saturday, we took Kaleb to a farm/pumpkin patch with my parents. The weather was fantastic (although, possibly still a little warm for long sleeves and pants) -- there was not a cloud in the sky! Kaleb got to see lots of animals and pose for pictures with the pumpkins. He was so funny....he was completely silent and content as he rode around in his stroller for the first hour or so. But as soon as we got to the pumpkins and took him out of the stroller, he wouldn't stop "talking"! SO CUTE! He suddenly had so many things to say; it's just a shame that it's not exactly English and we can't exactly understand anything except "dada" and "go". :) Enjoy the pictures! Oh, and yes, he is standing on his own in some of them. He is a pro at that now and even took his first steps this past week! What a big boy!
